PLANO, TX (October 10, 2011) – Urban Crust, known for their authentic wood-fired Italian Pizza, will host a Castellani wine dinner October 24 at 6:30 p.m. Luca Forte, from the Castellani vineyard, will walk patrons through five Castellani wines while sharing the history of the vineyard. Chef Salvatore will create a five course small plate menu paired with a selection of whites and reds from the vineyard. Don’t miss this special evening to help you unwind and gain inspiration for those upcoming holiday parties.

Renovations at La Calle Doce Just in Time for the Holidays

Dallas, Texas (October  6, 2011) – La Calle Doce’s Oak Cliff location will start renovations on October 17 to be completed just before Thanksgiving. Some of the renovation plans feature an enlarged patio area, newly remodeled bar, and patio area which will be completed in time for patrons to book their holiday parties.  Stay tuned for more information regarding an unveiling party to see the new additions.

El Ranchito Features Special Fried Bites for the Month of October

Dallas, Texas (October 5, 2011) – El Ranchito in Oak Cliff will celebrate the State Fair of Texas by offering a special selection of fried bites, available throughout October.   The selection includes fried avocado with spicy dipping sauce, fried corn-on-the-cob with Mexican crema, queso fresco and chile powder and their infamous fried arroz con leche balls (think bite-sized rice pudding fritters).  Don’t miss out- just like the Fair, these treats will be gone come November.

A Pearl For La Calle Doce

Thirty years ago, on September 15, La Calle Doce opened its doors.  This year, on September 14, owner Laura Sanchez hosted a cocktail party at the Oak Cliff location with food, live mariachi music, and plenty of margaritas to go around. La Calle Doce also gave away gift cards in a raffle.

Dallas Legacies to be Honored in Photo Exhibit

The Janette Kennedy Gallery at South Side on Lamar and Living in Gratitude will host Eyes of the Heart: A Photo Exhibit of Five Dallas Legacies October 12 through 28. The exhibit will conclude with a reception on October 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. where guests can enjoy food and purchase the artwork.
